Delete Your Account

This page describes how to delete your Why Pay?! account and what happens to your data. We offer two ways to request deletion.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your username (login)
- Your email address
- Your password hash
- All of your tasks, notes, categories, and app settings
- Your device push notification tokens
- Account creation and update timestamps
What May Be Retained (and for how long)
- Server access logs containing your IP address — retained for up to 30 days for security, fraud prevention, and debugging, then automatically purged.
- Backups — personal data in existing backups is purged during the next backup rotation, no later than 60 days after deletion.
- Data we are legally required to retain — if applicable, we may keep minimum records required by law; this does not apply in the ordinary course.
Option 1 — Delete from Within the App (recommended)
Launch the app on your phone, tablet, or computer and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
Open the Profile tab (the icon in the bottom or side navigation).
Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap Delete account. Confirm the action when prompted.
Your account and personal data are removed from our live servers within 30 days. Backups are purged within the next backup rotation (no more than 60 days).
Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, you can ask us to delete your account by email. To protect your account from unauthorized deletion, we verify every request.
Send a message from the email address associated with your account to info@whypay.ru with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your username.
We will reply with a one-time confirmation link. Click it to verify that you are the account owner.
After confirmation, we remove your account and personal data within 30 days from live systems and within 60 days from backups. We will send a final confirmation email when this is complete.
Didn't Create an Account?
If you have only used Why Pay?! in guest mode (without signing up), no data has left your device. Simply uninstall the app to remove all local data.
